I was born after the fall. I have never seen the world the way it was described in old books or half-broken stories. To me, empty towns and rusting vehicles are normal. Power is something you generate or steal. Safety is something you create for yourself.

I grew up moving between settlements, never staying long. My childhood was checkpoints, ration disputes, and learning which roads were watched. By the time I was strong enough to carry a rifle, I understood that skill meant survival. Not strength alone, but patience. Awareness. Knowing when not to pull the trigger.

No one drafted me. No one trained me formally. I learned from fighters who lasted longer than most. How to clear a building without rushing. How to travel light. How to read body language before a deal turns into an ambush.

I do not fight for ideals. I take contracts because they keep me supplied and independent. Escort. Recovery. Elimination. Clear terms, clear payment.

I was born into this world. I did not lose anything when it ended.

This is the only version of normal I have ever known.

Assessment
