The Scrap Yard

Nothing is useless. Somebody has to sort it.

Recorded history

The Scrap Yard was Scavenger ground long before it was anyone’s prize: a working yard where wreckage was sorted, stripped and turned back into something that fired.

It survived the faction that made its name there. The plant is simple enough that anyone holding it can work it, which is precisely the problem: a position that pays out every hour it is held is a position nobody can afford to leave alone.

Strategic assessment

Every other holding in the region redistributes what already exists. The Scrap Yard makes more.

Ammunition is the one thing in the Wasteland that cannot be talked, traded or intimidated into existence. It has to be made, and this is where it is made. The archive notes that whoever works this yard tends to determine how long a fight can go on rather than who wins it, and that the two are harder to separate than commanders like to assume.

Archive notes

  • Produces ammunition and serviceable parts from salvage.
  • Historically Scavenger ground; the association did not survive the faction.
  • Requires no specialist knowledge to operate.
